The summertime lull in politics in Ohio is quickly coming to an end. More candidates are announcing their bids to run for office in the 2014 statewide elections, and some are already making headlines in the local papers. Here are some of the positions that will be up for election in November 2014: the governor and lieutenant governor, the secretary of state, the attorney general, the state treasurer and the state auditor.
Like many other political organizations, Catholics for Ohio is already preparing for the 2014 statewide elections, because we know how important they are. Issues such as marriage, protecting life and fighting against the HHS Mandate are not only national issues; they will be important during the statewide elections as well.
In the coming weeks and months, we plan on keeping you informed on what’s happening in Ohio politics and how it affects your Catholic faith and your everyday life, whether it’s here on our blog, our Facebook page or our Twitter account. Please make sure to share this important information with your family and friends, because it’s imperative that we all are engaged and informed voters.
