What is being called, ‘Common Sense Legislation” is being offered to counter act the Executive Order of President Barak Obama which disallowed any federal contractor who believes that marriage between men or women of the same sex is no marriage at all from acting as a federal contractor. This legislation only opens the door for faith-based organizations to continue to operate as adoption agencies even if they refuse to place children in homes which have as their center a “gay marriage.” This is not only good social practice and good theology, but protects children as studies consistently show that these homes lack the stability and positive outcomes they claim.
